Enter your DHL credentials
The first thing you need to do is create a credential. To do this, go to the “Configuración>Nueva Credencial” module tab. There you will see the following fields:
Credential Name (Nombre Credencial): You can enter any name you want. This is used to differentiate between credentials if you have several.
URL: This field is already filled in and does not need to be changed.
User id (Id Usuario): Here you must enter the username provided by DHL. It will have a format similar to this: 12920155INF
Password (Clave): Here you must enter the password provided by DHL. It will have a format similar to this: mem6540f-myt5-4gb8-opl2-990yhj80p54b
Customer code (Código de cliente): Here you must enter the customer code provided by DHL. It will have a format similar to this: 14-114529
Select the source store (Seleccione la tienda de origen): Here you can choose the store you want to associate with your credentials. If nothing appears, it means you have not created one. You can create it from “Store settings>Contact>Stores>Add new store.”
Select the product, the default is B2B (Seleccione el producto, por defecto es B2B): Here you can choose between B2B or B2C environment
General settings
From the “Configuración>Configuración” tab, you can configure the module’s general settings. Here you will see the following fields:
Select the number of items to process in each cron call (Seleccione el numero de elementos a procesar en cada llamada del cron): Number of orders that the module will read each time it runs
Select the status when shipped (Seleccione el estado cuando este enviado:): Status that the order will be changed to once it has been shipped
Select the status when delivered (): Status that the order will change to once it has been delivered.
Select the status in which you want to send orders (Seleccione el estado en el que quiere enviar los pedidos:): Orders will be sent when they have one of the statuses marked in this section. You can mark one or more.
Select cash on delivery payment methods (Seleccione las formas de pago contrareembolso:): If your store does not accept cash on delivery, you do not need to mark any.
Weight for products that do not have one specified (): If your products do not have an assigned weight, they will be given the weight you enter in this field
Use the same carrier for different credentials (Poner el mismo transportista en distintas credenciales:): Checking this box allows you to use the same carrier for several of your credentials
Select a default credential (Seleccione una credencial por defecto:): You can select the credentials you want the module to use by default
Hold or release orders sent to DHL (Realizar hold o release sobre los pedidos enviados a Dhl:): Allows you to block an order so that it does not go out at the end of the day. It will not appear until you release it.
Force minimum weight (Forzar peso mínimo): Ensures that orders always have the minimum weight
Credential configuration
To configure specific credentials, go to the “Configuración>Credencial: Credentials name-Source store name>Configuración” tab.
From here, you can select which carriers you want to use for DHL orders. Tickets can only be generated for orders that have these carriers. Orders that do not have them will be ignored by the module.
Automate the module
In order for the module to generate tickets automatically, you will need to configure the cron job on your server, which can be found in the “Configuración>Cron” tab.
They can also be generated manually from orders that have the carriers you selected while configuring your credentials.
To generate the end-of-day closing automatically, you must configure the cron job found in the “Configuración>Credencial: Credentials name-Source store name>Cron Cierre del día” tab.
This cron must be configured to run every day at a time when no more orders will be prepared. Once generated, a document will be created with the information of that day’s orders. You can download it from the “Cierre del día” tab.
